Tegaderm dressings are breathable, sterile, transparent and waterproof and provide a barrier to outside contaminants. Tegaderm HP dressing have a special adhesive for greater staying power in the presence of moderate amounts of moisture. 3M Health Care also offers a special dressing for securing bulky catheters (product #1635). It is notched and reinforced with soft cloth tape to provide a superior seal around the catheter. Pre-cut sterile tape strips for securing tubing, lumens or hubs and a documentation label are included.
